Project Overview

I co-authored Even If Your Toes Turn Purple: Raising Teenagers That Are Confident, Happy, and Stand Out. What started as a goofy project quickly became something much larger. The book offers a rare dual perspective—both parent and teen—on how to raise confident, happy teenagers in today’s world. I helped craft the message, shape the brand, and support its marketing and launch strategy. The project earned national attention and sparked what would eventually become the Legado Family brand.

It was my first taste of bold storytelling, purposeful branding, and making an idea connect with a real audience. I may be the only teenager to ever co-author a parenting book, and I still carry that same creativity and curiosity into every project I take on.

Branding

I helped shape the visual and verbal identity of the Even If Your Toes Turn Purple brand. From choosing the book cover and defining the voice to contributing to website design and messaging, I was hands-on throughout. The tone we landed on was warm, honest, and just quirky enough to stand out—just like the title.

Course Creation

As a companion to the book, we created the Teen Parent Challenge, a video course designed to spark conversation and connection between parents and teens. I helped film, direct, and shape the storytelling behind the series. The goal was simple: bring the lessons in the book to life.
