Project Overview
This was my very first freelance gig, and it was anything but typical. One of my university professors approached me with a wild idea: film and produce a heavy metal reaction video. As someone who’s definitely not a metalhead, I said yes—and found myself listening to One Day Closer to the End of the World more than 300 times during editing.
I secured a professional recording studio, planned the shoot, and edited together a high-energy, multi-perspective video that captured the chaotic fun of live metal reactions. It tested my creative instincts and technical abilities all at once, and I loved every second of it.
For this project I taught myself how to utilize greenscreen, prepare proper lighting, and splice multiple videos into one.

Branding
I created the Funk-Town Thunder-Slap logo and animated visuals to match the client’s request for an “awesome experience”.
Content Creation & Listings
This was a deceptively complex short film. I had to sync multiple camera angles with a live audio track and reactive expressions, while maintaining the flow and energy of the performance. It pushed my editing skills and gave me a new appreciation for anyone who can master multi-track video.
